Human Haze

Image
Have your ever seen this gaze? I have stared at them misty eyes Longing for the blue sky in a daze And then portrayed them days Through them fictitious plays. Act One Only Scene 1 The Garden of Eden. A hilarious walk near the river of Hearsay . Birds of pray in the bay trees imitating the nightingale but in vain. A voice of whistling through the trees then mortification. Eye-witness, a young bard of good manners and handsome traits traverse the blue stream; the way he walks is tremendous; it seems he is tricky to trigger . Eye-witness : (he has the habit to meditate) The reaction I get here is always clear, But there is something missing! What was that? Was it the wilderness message? Am I still trying to manage? I’ll never be untrue to myself In order to reach the hum...

Howa, Heya, Huma

Image

Monday : Tempos fugit

Image
Time files as a sonic plane taking off. Time flies when your tuitions teaches you To run amok for a tame ending… Time files when you cannot count The candles in your birthday cake. Time flies when you miss a prayer, A train, a sunrise or a chance of bliss… Time pauses when you run away… * tempos fugit : Latin for ‘time flies’

Tuesday: Morning fever

Image
Fever in the dark. Fever in the dawn. Fever when you put your arms around me… Fever in the day. Fever in the night. Fever when I perspire in such a peril… There is so much fever in this fiasco That you feign oblivion for a while… Fine! Fever, fever, fever… fifteen or fifty times…

Wednesday : F for Fall

Image
Usually on a day like this, I long for the coming Friday. I woke up early this morning : Prayed and got myself a cup of milk To fuel my vibrations… I have seen these scenes, this crowd… This folk are familiar to me… Omniscient today, I witness a young baby girl Playing like a deer on the train corridor, Suddenly she fell on her forehead. She wails like a siren! Then her mama vouched her And she retorted : ‘You will grow up and forget it my dear…’ The reaction I get while pondering on this Is that every human soul is fallible...

Thursday: When is it mu turn to leave

Image
O’ Allah, when it is my turn to leave, I hope it happens in a stupendous season as this… What a beautiful day today. What a beautiful way to die. What a beautiful day today. What a beautiful way to die. When Israfel shall come, I will ask him for a ride on the 7 skies. I have visions on my death, I can see: The white coffin, the undertakers, the funeral pyres, the Koran recitals… What a beautiful day today. What a beautiful way to die. What a beautiful day today. What a beautiful way to die. How splendid are the white ‘djellabas’ in such a parade. I can see varaint people revering : One God, one heart, one love … Some with redundant tears would say : ‘ He was such a good and wiseman…God bless him…’ ‘I knew him for a while but he was pleaseful… to Allah we belong and to Him we return…’ I can see a beloved one sileantly moaning like a cat And fertilising my tomb soil with tears… What a beautiful day today . ...

Friday : Slipknot

Image
Awake! Shaking dreams from my head. I’m walking on splintered glass With a slipknot around my neck  Loosing my stamina to work… How can I compose a sordid song on such a blessing day? I must find my way while squirming for a walk. I walk alone on the boulevard of broken dreams. I stop for while where we used to meet And I make a wish with a steady smile… When all else fails Pray for Allah to get it unravelled.

Saturday : Of the egg and the rabbit

Image
Christianity disciples celebrate these days Easter: They believe that the Christ will be resurrected To save them and renew the faith… On such a blessing day, children enjoy chocolate bunnies, Marshmallow chicks and jelly bean-filled eggs… But for what reasons theegg and rabbit? I thought first for a similarity between them: Fertility? My mother had told me that the rabbit is the most fertile animal And so is the hen that produces many eggs a day. We live and we die . We die and we shall live. Death never ends it. Death is just the start of something new…

Sunday: Someday soon

Image
Phew! It’s super Sunday! Time for a swing: Let’s change the mood from sadness to gladness. Let’s reinvent worlds. Let’s coin new words. Let’s avoid vices… Now let us talk about love: Love never dies, Love hides. Loves hides in narrow corners. Loves comes when you least expect it. Love is a rainbow… Someday soon, I will get you my moon. Someday soon, I will play for you this tune… Someday soon, I will get you my moon. Someday soon, I will play for you this tune…
